Birthday #2...and #3?

Image
So once again I find myself derelict in my blogging duties. Surprised? Neither am I. It's been an entire week since Trinity's birthday parties and I am just now getting to it. Seems like time flies. The truth is that I have been falling asleep in the big brown chair in the living room. After Teagan's last feeding, I'll sometimes hold him a little while he settles into sleep. It turns out that he is like a tranquilizer; I hold him and he puts me to sleep. Then I wake up at 1am and wonder what the heck is going on. I hate that feeling. But enough of that, on to the pictures! Here's Teagan and his granddad hanging out, waiting for cake... Here's the birthday girl, with Jamma and Boppa. Trinity took this one, really! Trinity loves ice! More! Please! Cousin Mark, in repose On to the goods! Trinity liked opening presents and all, but she paced herself nicely. She would open a gift and then take it, or the card that came with it, around to show everyone. Then she might

Interlude...

Okay, so there were two birthday parties and I have only blogged one of them. The second one will take a while and right now I have a cute little picture for you: Trinity sure loves to take care of her little brother. At first I think that she wanted the bottle for herself, but once she got the hang of feeding Teagan, she loved it! Here are a couple more: Sometimes your arm cramps, so you have to switch up the feeding angle... Our little happy family!

Jesus, is that you?

Strange title for a post, I know. There is a story behind it, and I'm getting to it right now: This picture is right after church. That's why Trinity is only in a diaper; we were changing out of Sunday best and into something a little more...playable. Trinity had her little children's Bible and we were looking at the pictures. We looked at the ark and Jesus. Trinity started saying "Jesus". It sounded a little like cheese, but in context I am pretty sure she was saying Jesus. A few minutes later, my mom and step dad arrived and rang the doorbell. As I am walking to the door to answer it, I hear Trinity say "Jesus?" "No Trinity, it's just grandma and grandpa!" Kids say the darnedest things... "Jesus?"

Party #1: thanks for the memories!

This post might actually be considered neglect, since I should be getting Teagan up to feed him. Instead I toil dutifully away to keep all of you nicely informed. Also, my finger hurts because the skin by the corner of my fingernail is so dry that it cracked. It's so hard to be me sometimes. Ouch, I just used that finger again. It's the middle finger on my right hand, so don't ask me to show it to you. Yet again, I digress... Monday is Trinity's 2nd birthday. Crazy! Our little miracle girl is turning two! We had party #1 this morning, a little get together for Trinity and her friends. Enjoy: Autumn was up WAY too late working on all of this stuff. She did an awesome job. The theme for the party was the color red. Nice. It was a small gathering, about the perfect size. Don't let the smiles fool you. These three are trouble. I mean Trouble. Had to capitalize trouble for emphasis, so you know how serious I am. First activity was decorating party hats. The kids had stic

I Think that the only way to get started on all this stuff is to, well, start. This post is a short little one. I remember a picture of me and my sister, who is three years older than me. I was less than a year and Coleen has stuffed me into a doll stroller. I was a baby, but not that small. I foresee similar things ahead for Teagan. Sorry dude. Hmm, I wonder if he'll let me put TWO shoes on him... Notice Teagan looking for the nearest exit... Proud stylist...she's going to be a great big sister!

Short post, long wait

Yeah yeah yeah, it's been a while since I posted. Sometimes the days just fly by and I don't sit down to update the blog. Ironically, the same reason I blog is often the cause of me not blogging. Either way, the cute pills are working on these two! Just an updated picture, looking pretty good there, big man! Okay, not the most flattering picture of Trinity, but we just had to document the haircut. Jennifer did a great job, our girl looks so much more grown up! If you didn't know what a Trinity-growl looks like, you do now. Consider yourself warned. I suppose this qualifies as the cuteness of the day. Maybe the week! P.S. Rumor has it that we had some family/child photos taken this last weekend, stay tuned for updates!

Two in a row...

How many pictures can we take in a day? It turns out that, even at home, we can take quite a few. Without further ado, lets see where this goes! Trinity is sporting the newest trench coat fashion. And yes, it does look an awful lot like mom's jacket. Can you say, "I gotcha"? Halloween may be over, but it's never too late for scary faces! Trinity's scary face was probably an accident, but I am not really sure what to say about this one. Lately Trinity has really liked the photo books that we have. She loves to go to the bookshelves and get them to read. Here are my girls, reading in the big top tent. Someday, when he is older and able to figure things out on his own, Teagan is going to pull me aside, show me all the photos I have published of him and he is going to look deeply into my eyes and say, "dad...why?" It's like herding cats. Or wrestling a greased pig. I never understood those metaphors until I had kids. I hear that this is only the beginnin
