Snow!

Image
I'll likely make this short and sweet because it is late and I want to sleep. We had our first decent snowfall in town last week and we too advantage! No we didn't get up to the mountain like so many others, but we did have a few steep runs of our own!       A little shoveling and we have launch ramp!     I decided a while back to see if we could use the play structure during the winter. So I swept off the roof and floors, then packed a little on the ramp (that is usually used for climbing) and dug the toboggan out of the garage.     Turns out it worked!     I think it's a hit!     Even the reserved one had fun!     Teagan had a great time digging and scooping snow. Usually he isn't a fan of the cold, but he's been digging it recently! Get it? "Digging" it? Ah, what do you know about funny?     This afternoon, with balmy temperatures about freezing, it was time...     Our first family snow

Trinity Turns 5!

If I didn't have this blog to tell me, I wouldn't know how long it's been since I last updated this blog. But thanks to technology, I know that it's been since September 2nd of this year. Needless to say, there's been a lot going on. Enough said. So it's late November as the Swarrell Life emerges from the fog and we run smack dab into the the holiday season. Trinity's ballet cake, fit for a dainty little... ...well, never mind about all that. just enjoy some cake! So we had a couple of parties, one for family and one for Trin's friends. Friday night we had fami

Note: This is the fifth installment of my Banff Log. For the first four go  here ,  here ,  here , here  and here . I know it's been long, but this is it! Then it's back to our regularly scheduled program! Day 13 - Banff to Silverwood! Time to leave! Wow it was wet. I am really glad that we packed up most of our stuff. I am even more glad that I brought a tarp and drop cloth. It helped when we loaded wet bikes into the camper. We were out of there in a little over and hour. Then I delayed things by wanting coffee from Starbucks. Say what you want about the coffee giant, they serve a consistent cuppa, which I very much appreciate. I never did get it though, since the Safeway we went to had closed their kiosk temporarily. Bummer. So we hit the road without coffee, but cheerful spirits nonetheless. We then proceeded to stop about every 20 minutes for the next 2 hours. At least that’s what it felt like. It was likely less than that, but mileage was slim in the
